How does one fulfil his duty to his wife and father when there is a conflict between the two and they all live together?

There is a general statement; one has to know the rights of the father as well as the rights of the wife. One has to know to what extent one has to obey one’s father and to what extent one has to fulfill the needs of one’s wife. When one knows that, then they can find the balance.
