What answer can be given to a Christian who says that God created us in his image using as proof the first page of Genesis wherein it says that “Let's create man in our image
To claim that God looks like us is absurd. Our bodies are designed to know our environment through our senses. We have eyes to see, ears to hear, noses to smell, mouths to eat and breathe, hands to touch, feet to move about - God is self sufficient and self-subsistent he has no need for such apparatuses in order to know. Furthermore, man has a beginning and end, does God have that also since we are "created in His image?" Does God get tired and rest and sleep? Does He have private parts and go to the bathroom? The list goes on. You can see how absurd this line of reasoning becomes.
God is Uniquely One, and nothing is similar to Him.[1] He is far above all that is attributed to Him of His Creation. Furthermore, if we are to believe in God in this way, why can't we believe that He looks like a monkey, as Hindus have in their scripture God taking the form of the monkey God, Hanuman!!! The Indian scriptures are far older than those of the Bible, so what makes the Bible right and the Vedas (Hindu Scripture) wrong? God gave us intelligence to distinguish between right and wrong, we need to use it and not just blindly quote scripture which has many flaws in them.

[1] The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you mates from yourselves, and for the cattle (also) mates. By this means He creates you (in the wombs). There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.” (Surah as-Shura’, 42:11)
