“The Day of Resurrection is the first that any eye will look upon to Allah.”

“The greatest pleasure for a believer in Paradise is to see Allah.”

Based on this, will the believer not get the greatest pleasure when he sees Allah on the Day of Resurrection?

What is the difference between these two incidents of seeing Allah?

Sh. Ibn ʿUthaymin says:

“People will be in three categories on the Day of Judgment: disbelievers, believers and hypocrites. As for the disbelievers, they will never see Allah because of Allah’s statement:

كَلَّا إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ

“No. On that day they will be veiled from their Lord.” [1]

As for the believers, they will see Allah on the Day of Judgment and in Paradise because of Allah’s statement:

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌإِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ

“Some faces will be radiant on that day, gazing at their Lord.” [2]

As for the hypocrites, they will see Allah on the Day of Judgment, but will not see Him again after that.”
