We are so small, so tiny in this whole universe, why would God bother Himself with our affairs? It makes more sense to me that God created the world and let it run on its own.

We say no. To say that is not to understand God. Our own common sense, yes, when people walk on the street, if we see an ant crawling on the street, we do not waste time to think where is that ant going now? It is going into its ant hill, OK so what is going on inside an ant hill?  We do not bother ourselves with that except that you are scientists and you are studying the ants.  For the average person, it is not our concern. That is human beings. Because we would not take effort and we would see that it is a waste of effort. If God follows us, we would not take any effort on His part, of course not, there is no effort. So do not compare God with ourselves, God is not like us. God is beyond us.

Furthermore, our common sense tells us that if we send our children to school, and we do not tell our children what they are supposed to do in the school. Then, they are not going to just come marching into the front gate, enter into the classroom, sitting in their chairs, wait for their teacher. No. When they walked into the school, they will see the swings, the slides, the playground, and that is where they would go, they would be there swinging and sliding all day long, unless you told them what they are supposed to do. You set up a company, you hire people for your company, but you did not tell them what they are supposed to do in the company. What is he going to do? Just coming into the company and find what they need to do, then do it?  Or they are going to the canteen and having tea, sitting down drinking tea all day until you say, “What are you doing here? You are supposed to be …”  Ok?  We know that. Your company would fail if you do not tell the people what they are supposed to do.

So this idea of creating us on earth and not telling us what we are supposed to do here, that is like ensuring we are going to fail. So God, being the most merciful God, He is concerned with what we do, and He has given us a plan of action, that plan of action we called religion. The religious plan of action which is supposed to guide our lives here, so we do the right thing, we leave this world having followed God’s plan. We have now a chance for success. But if we do not have a plan, it is just up to us, we take a little bit from here, from Buddhism, take a little bit from Hinduism, take a little bit from Islam, take a little bit from Christianity, so and so, here and there, and mix it all together, we have a cocktail and say, “That is how I want to live my way.”  No, it is your religion, it is not God’s religion. It is your religion, and you are doomed to failure if you follow that. So God gave us a plan.

When He created Adam and Eve, He taught them the religion, the way of life, the plan, the plan of action for this life, He gave it to them. That way of life is Islam.
