Was a Messenger sent to every nation? Have their messages been preserved?
Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) says in the Qur’an:
“And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut…" [1]
From this verse we learn that a messenger was sent to every nation. For example, a messenger was sent to India but the message which he brought in time became distorted to the extent that today we can hardly recognize it, but if one reads the texts of the Hindus, which are the Vedas, one will find a message about One Supreme Being. However, that Supreme Being in the distorted message becomes manifest in three forms that became three gods having the attributes of One Supreme Being. Additionally, most Hindus believe in a trinity made up of Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma -the destroyer, the preserver and the creator. These are all attributes worthy of one God but these have been distributed among three gods. If you look behind you will find the call to One God. You will also find certain moral principles and values which have been taught. But as said before, it is hard to find the original as the message got distorted.
If we look at Judaism and Christianity, we can see the message of the One God and social values more clearly defined. In the case of Judaism, the One God concept is very clear; there is no father, son, sister etc. In their temples known as synagogues there are no pictures or images and the law which was brought by Moses has been preserved to a great degree, however, the religion has become a secret cult. It's not an open religion. People are not invited to come. There is no open invitation. If you want to become a Jew they will make it very difficult for you. People are discouraged. Judaism is no longer identified as a religion in terms of its principles, rather as a race of people, hence becoming more cultural and racial than merely a religion. It is a closed belief and though the Torah (five books of Moses) is available today in terms of the Old Testament, it is preserved with distortions. The known book followed by the Jews containing the essence of their teachings is called the Talmud which cannot be found in any library, bookstore or bookshop. It is a book which is kept secret from the masses. One can only find it in main universities; University of Toronto in the research section where the common man cannot enter but only the people pursuing PhDs with special cards, thereby making it scarce. This is because if you read that book you will realize that the Jews are the enemies of mankind. In this book it is claimed that the Jews are the only true human beings while the rest of mankind are animals whom God has given a resemblance to humanity to make it easier for the Jews to deal with them and so on. When you read this kind of thing it comes as a shock but this is Judaism which in terms of its outer teachings, the Unitarian beliefs are purer than Christianity. They remained pure externally because Prophet Moses (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) was not only a Prophet, but also a statesman. He became the head of state and the message was established in the land by those who came after him, Prophet Solomon (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) and David (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ). The prophets of that period ruled, so the law was established.
The other text continues all the way down to the time of Jesus. That's why he said he didn’t come to change the law or to break it, he came to fulfil it and that anyone who changes an iota from that law will be lost, and that they will never inherit Paradise. So he came to confirm that law. However, after his time, those who came after him changed the law and a new religion evolved which came to be known in the time of Paul as Christianity. It was no longer the religion which was brought by Jesus (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ). The revelation Jesus received was lost and the only thing that remained in the generations to come was gospels according to various individuals - individuals whose origins in many cases is unknown. The religion which Jesus brought has changed massively in terms of the law and other aspects. What spread and continued to spread after the time of Jesus was another religion which attributed itself back to Jesus, was really Paulianity. Paul is the founder of what is known today as Christianity. He changed the laws. He made pig halaal which Prophet Jesus (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) never ate and which the law forbade. He said as long you accept Jesus, everything is clean. It is Paul who changed the law with regards to prayer. While Prophet Jesus (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) is described as falling down in prayer making prostration just as Moses (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) and Abraham (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) were described as well as the Prophets before them, Paul began the practice of praying with hands joined and kneeling which is similar to the Hindus' manner of greeting each other. This is not from the teachings of Jesus (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ). He changed the law even with regard to the belief in God's existence. He taught that Jesus was God, the son of God, the only begotten son of God. He became an attribute of God. God had the aspect of the father, aspect of the son and aspect of the holy spirit. The son aspect will be the judge and on the Day of Judgement he will sit on the right hand of God (God the father) and he will judge mankind. So, like the Hindus who distributed the attributes of God among another set of gods, the trinity, Christianity is the same. The message was distorted. The final message (The Noble Qur’an) which was to come had to be established in the land in such a way that no distortion would come because it was the last message to mankind from the Almighty Creator.
