What is the difference between Jabrites and Qadrites? Do the Mu’tazillah belong to any one of these groups?

The Jabrites and Qadrites are two opposite ends of the same spectrum on the issue of qadar. The Jabrites claim that the creature is forced to do its acts without any choice on its part. The Qadrites claim that the creature is independent in its actions and that Allaah has no will or power or creation in it.

As for the Mu`tazillites, they took the opinion of the Qadrites in matters pertaining to qadar.
