I have a question. Is meditation considered Shirk? Certainly I do not wish to meditate with the intention of practicing any religion. I wish to meditate simply to relax my very busy mind and nothing else. Is this Shirk?

No, meditation is not shirk unless one involves shirk in it. However, that was the role of salaat in the Prophetic example. He (ﷺ) used to tell Bilal, "Relax us with salaat, O Bilal."
