Is it forbidden or disliked to substitute the father’s name with the husband’s name in one’s surname after marriage?

A woman is permitted to change and use the surname of her husband. Using the surname of the husband in some cases is proof to show that you are indeed married and this sort of make it necessary to change the surname. If something comes up (like second marriage) then you can simply go to the immigration department in your country and change it. If it is not necessary then you should stick to your own surname since Islam does not command you to take your husband's surname.

Having stated the above it should be noted that the ruling in normal circumstances is that it is haraam for a woman to change her surname to that of her husband. [1] In answering the same question Sheikh Munajid said:

This is haraam and is not allowed in sharee’ah, because it is not permissible for anyone to claim to belong to anyone other than his or her father. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Call them (adopted sons) by (the names of) their fathers, that is more just with Allaah…” [2]
