How will the trial of Dajjal end?
During the time of Dajjal, Allah will send the Mahdi from among the Muslims who will struggle against the forces of Dajjal. His forces will be besieged in Jerusalem by Dajjal, and when Dajjal would be ready to corner them and wipe them out, Allah سبحانه و تعالى will send Prophet Isa (Jesus) عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم. Jesus will appear in the area of Damascus and will go to Jerusalem. There will be rain at the time of Fajr at Masjid Al-Aqsa, when Al-Mahdi will step forward to lead the prayer, and when he would realize the presence of Prophet ‘Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم, he will step back to let him lead the prayer but Prophet ‘Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم will let Mahdi lead the prayer. This indicates that Prophet ‘Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم will not bring a new religion with him, rather he will follow the religion of Islam. The gates of Jerusalem will then be opened and when Dajjal will spot Prophet ‘Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم advancing towards him with his forces, he will begin to melt. He will try to run but Prophet ‘Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم will chase him and kill him with a spear and will lift up the spear to show people that Dajjal has been killed. This will be the end of the trial of Dajjal.
