Destined To Be Honored: The Messenger Of Peace

Imam Bukhari’s Tarikhul Kabir is an encyclopedia regarding people who used to narrate about the Messenger of Allah . He compiled this masterpiece so that the future generations may get to access and examine the authenticity of each narration about the Prophet of Islam , before they pass it on to others.

In the history of mankind, there is only one man whose truthfulness is preserved by the verification of the testimonies of thousands of narrators’ truthfulness. You have to be truthful if you narrate anything from the Prophet . Every narrator of his narrations has been scrutinized. Nobody has been safeguarded in history in the same way as Prophet Muhammad . Nobody knows how Jesus  or Rama looked like. But ask a young Muslim schoolboy studying even in a Convent school run by Christian Missionaries, and he will tell you minute details about his Prophet . Every act of his is kept alive in the memory of Muslims.

EVEN HIS NAME CANNOT BE SCRUBBED OFF

According to the sixth edition of The Columbia Encyclopedia (2000), ‘Muhammad’ is probably the most commonly given name [in the world], including variations. It has been estimated that more than 150 million men and boys in the world bear the name ‘Muhammad’. 

‘Muhammad’ was the most common name given to baby boys in England and Wales in 2009, 2011 and 2012 and the second most popular name in 2007 and 2010, combining 14 spelling variations.

A FASHION THAT REFUSES TO BE OUTDATED

His  lifestyle remains an important chapter in the syllabus of Religious studies for his followers.

Consider this: A man whose lifestyle is the target of attack for the past 1400 years, has continued to flourish in every latitude and longitude of the world. The survival-age for the actors of Hollywood and Bollywood is usually not more than a few decades, whereas the splendid performers in stadiums of the Olympics are replaced by next generations within a few years. Conversely, young men with flowing beards and trousers above their ankles, learning to recite the Qur’an and lifting every morsel of food with their right hands would not let their hero fade away. Everything that he did, the Muslims want to do – A FASHION THAT REFUSES TO BE OUTDATED.

PROMOTION WITHOUT ANY MARKETING AGENCY

His enemies continue to work hard, so much so that no man in the history of mankind has been maligned to the degree which our Prophet Muhammad has been maligned and subjected to. The “Convey from me even if it is a verse”, is a responsibility that  Prophet  assigned to every Muslim, to carry forward the legacy that makes Islam easily available to study in every age and in every country.

No teaching can stand against such extreme hostility, but Islam remains busy, welcoming its new adherents every day in every corner of the world despite being under attack. Marxism could not stretch beyond 80 years. Communism gave up the fight against Capitalism. Even Christianity has lost its original colors, transforming into a variety of colorful festivals, overpowered by Secularism and Democracy after merging with Ancient Roman Paganism right from the first century. Many other religions are only preserved in books and festivals, but Islam subsists in the life of its followers.  

With about 60,000 books written to target him and his teachings in just a span of 150 years from 1800 to 1950, with thousands of websites trying to disqualify his prophet-hood, this magnificent man’s teachings continue to capture the hearts and minds of those very countries that are the epicenters of emitting hateful lava.

THE MAN WHO CAPTURES PRIME TIME WITHOUT PAYING TV CHANNELS

There is a difference between fame and honor. Fame is pursued but honor arrives. In the field of Da’wah, hope for honor but do not chase fame. Honor comes from Allah  and it comes to those who work only for His sake. Prophet Muhammad is the man whose name sells TV shows even without him being present on the sets. He is the only man who has the privilege of being narrated for and against every day since his appointment as the Prophet of Allah. People can do PhDs in every lesson he taught. Islam is the only subject on which the largest numbers of books are written, against as well as for. There are no less than half a million Islamic manuscripts in the libraries of Arabia, still waiting to be published.

The man who continues to persist in the hearts, minds and supplications of his followers is Prophet Muhammad only. Nobody can obliterate his name from history. No one can delete his honor destined by Allah , because his honor has been guaranteed by Allah  himself.

“And they wish to blow off the light of Allah, but He will never let it happen, except that His light will be perfected, even though the unbelievers dislike it.” (At Toubah, 9: 32)
