Is it allowed to perform Janaza prayer here for family members who died elsewhere?

Not really. It’s already done there. The janaza for the absent is done where no janaza is being done for them there. No need to do janaza here. When the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) made janaza for Najjashi, this was because no janaza was done for him there in Ethiopia.
