Can a person who loans money ask more in return taking into account the rate of inflation?

Is this riba?

In ordinary cases the same amount that was borrowed should be paid back because paying more would be riba. Ordinarily inflation is not that severe. However in terms of hyperinflation where the inflation reaches thousands of percentage points then that could be an issue. But in ordinary circumstances the same amount that is borrowed is paid back.
