Should one refrain from talking or reading up on the conflict which happened between the Sahabas.

Is this a wise course of action?

We don’t delve into the conflicts that occurred between the Sahabas and end up taking sides, and also we don’t bring up these conflicts with the general population of Muslims. However, that doesn’t mean that we, as students of knowledge, don’t read up on this and see what the scholars have said regarding these conflicts, especially to be able to respond to those who attack Islam.
