What is the Ash’ari school?

The Ash’ari is a sect which denied some of the attributes of Allah by misinterpreting the Qur'an. They say that Allah has no hands, face, etc, because if we say He does, we have likened Him to His creation. The Ahl-us-Sunnah say, “We describe Allah according to how He has described Himself or how His Messenger (ﷺ) has described Him for us without denying His attributes nor likening Him to His creation. Allah said He has a face and we believe that He does; we do not ask how His face is, we do not deny He has a face and we certainly do not describe His face because no one knows it except Him. "None is like Him...."[1]
